Wepler supports contemporary literature
Le prix Wepler tribute to the literature of the past or contemporary writers like Céline, Prévert, Boris Vian, Max Jacob, Paul Verlaine, Henry Miller… Academics to institutions, all have found refuge in Montmartre. A measure of its libertarian tradition, the award represents the political opening of cultural sponsorship and private initiative. By supporting difficult works and whose aim is not only commercial, this initiative allows the language out of marketing. Through the Fondation La Poste, this award is endowed with the sum of EUR 10 000 and a sum of 3000 euros for the special mention given to a book distinguished by its unclassifiable nature.
